«Economical and Financial indicators – Spain»  (The IMF Projections  – 2014)

1) Gross Domestic Product:                                  0,2  %

2) Unemployment rate:                                          26.7 (% of the active population)

3) Working People:                                                 16.5 Mills. workers

4) Inflaction (%):                                                      1.5 %

5) Budget Balance (% GDP):                                -5.8 (2014) *Public deficit

6) National Debt (Public Debt/GDP):                     99.1 %

The IMF sees predicts growth of only 0.2 % in 2014, but predicts that the labor market would continue to deteriorate, until 2018 (when it is expected a growth of 1.2% GDP).

Is this a real recovery? It would not see Spain return to pre-recession levels until 2021. The IMF sees 25% unemployment through to 2018.

A very small advance of just 0.2 % GDP the coming year (2014)…∎
